Kerry Doyle is currently working as a consultant to the Australasian Cardiac Outcomes Registry (ACOR), where she is driving activities associated with governance and strategy development.
Prior to taking on the role with ACOR, Kerry was the CEO of the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance (ACvA). In this role Kerry was responsible for leading the operational team and the ACvA’s strategic initiatives, supporting the work of the ACvA Board and its Committees and raising the profile of, and supporting increased impact from, cardiovascular research, through enhanced collaboration, relationship building and advocacy.
From 2013-2019, Kerry was the Chief Executive of the NSW Heart Foundation, where she led successful advocacy and implemented a major gifts campaign raising $2m for a dedicated women and heart disease program and a physical activity outreach program which was delivered in low SES, rural and remote NSW.
Prior to this, Kerry had over 18 years’ experience in senior roles in the NSW State Government, including as the Executive Director of the Office of Science and Medical Research. Achievements include leading the roll out of the Government’s $68m biotechnology strategy, establishing the NSW Ministry for Science and Medical Research, increasing NSW investments in research, including through the establishment of a $60m science fund; spearheading increases to the Medical Research Support Program, delivering industry action plans for key sectors of the NSW economy (eg arts, finance and medical research) and achieving funding for the NSW Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN).
In 2005, Kerry received a Public Service Medal for her contribution to science and medical research and in 2022, she was awarded an OAM for contributions to community health.
