Dr Ke Liu

Dr Ke Liu is tackling the growing threat climate change poses to agricultural productivity. His research focuses on how extreme weather events affect food production and sustainability, with the goal of developing climate-resilient farming systems.

As an agricultural systems modeller, Dr Liu improves how models simulate crop growth under extreme weather conditions and designs adaptation strategies—such as better crop rotations and early warning tools—to reduce risks like waterlogging and pre-harvest sprouting. His work supports farmers, industry, and policymakers in building sustainable, resilient agriculture for the future.
