Young Tall Poppy Science Awards

Young Tall Poppy Science Awards

The annual Young Tall Poppy science awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Australian scientists.

These awards are for career researchers who are making a significant impact in science AND also going out of their way to communicate their science to the broader community.
Nominations are now closed and will reopen in February 2026.

In 2025, we received over 200 applications and awarded 63 Young Tall Poppy winners.

These Young Tall Poppy researchers are shaping the future of health care, our environment, and our way of life in ways that we cannot even imagine.

We wish the 2025 Young Tall Poppies every success in their ongoing research and engagement with the media and wider community.

We look forward to seeing who will join the Young Tall Poppy cohort in 2026!
